Thule Lodge To Meet Saturday

BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, 4123 Pancake Hill Road, Bemus Point, will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday at the lodge for the monthly business meeting and refreshments. During the meeting, nomination of officers for 2013 will be held. Following the meeting, refreshments will be served. Members are encouraged to attend. Thule Lodge is now completing its 105th year of preserving the Swedish culture in the Jamestown/Bemus Point area. New members are welcome.

Allen Cemetery To Hold Cleanup

The Allen Cemetery Association will be hold a work day starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, with a rain date of Saturday, Oct. 27. The Allen Cemetery is located on Willard Street Extension. The work day will help the groundskeeper rake leaves, clear fallen tree limbs from the cemetery grounds and any other tasks that need to be done before winter. All members and lot owners are welcome to attend.

Veteran Clinic Set For Saturday

DUNKIRK - VA Western New York Healthcare System will be holding an information event Saturday at the VA Clinic in Dunkirk, 166 E. Fourth St. to help veterans learn about VA health care benefits and other benefits. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and offer a chance for veterans to see VA health care available in their own community. Ripley Board To Meet Thursday

RIPLEY - An audit committee meeting will be held on Thursday at 5:15 p.m., in the District Office of the Ripley Central School, with Buffamante Whipple Buttafaro, P.C., the district's external auditors. A regular meeting of the Ripley Central School District Board of Education will be follow at 6:30 p.m., in the Distance Learning Room (Room 123), of the Ripley Central School, for the purpose of any and all items that come before the board.

Set In Brocton

BROCTON - Preschool story hour with Mary Ellen Westin and Susan Raymond will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Ahira Hall Memorial Library, Brocton. Featured will be stories, crafts, songs and a snack based on the theme, autumn pumpkins. For more information call 792-9418.

JCC To Host Deaf Comedy Film

"See What I'm Saying," a documentary about deaf entertainers, will be shown at 7 p.m. this Saturday on Jamestown Community College's Jamestown Campus. The film, sponsored by JCC's campus life program and the college program committee of JCC's Faculty Student Association, will be shown in the Student Union in the Hamilton Collegiate Center. Admission is $3 and tickets are available at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Jamestown/Warren Deaf Club.
