The Section 6 football playoff pairings are official after Sunday morning's seeding meeting and four area teams are No. 1 seeds.
Jamestown (6-1) won the Class AA South title on Saturday and is the No. 1 seed from that division. Salamanca (6-1) is the No. 1 seed in Class C South, undefeated Maple Grove (7-0) is the top seed in Class D and Ellicottville became the No. 1 seed for Class DD.
Jamestown will open the playoffs with a 7 p.m. home game on Friday at Strider Field against Hutch Tech (1-6), which finished fourth in Class AA North.

If the Red Raiders win, they will play the winner of the Frontier-Niagara Falls quarterfinal game in the semifinals at Strider Field on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.
Salamanca will play host to Cleveland Hill (5-2), the No. 4 seed for Class C North and Allegany-Limestone (5-2), the No. 2 seed from Class C South, will be home against Fredonia (5-2), No. 3 from Class C North. Both games are on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Also, on Friday, second-seeded Wilson (5-2) from Class C North will play at home against Westfield (4-3), the No. 3 seed from Class C South, at 7 p.m.
On Saturday at 1:30 p.m., top-seeded JFK (6-1) from Class C North will entertain fourth-seeded Cassadaga Valley (3-4) from Class C South.
Maple Grove will play host to eighth-seeded International Prep at Grover (0-7) on Friday night at 7 in the Class D quarterfinals.
The other quarterfinals, also on Friday at 7 p.m., find second-seeded Randolph (5-2) playing host to seventh seeded-Cattaraugus-Little Valley (1-6) in a repeat of last Friday's game to end the regular season, third-seeded Silver Creek (4-3) will be at home against sixth-seeded Frewsburg (3-4) and fifth-seeded Portville (4-3) will visit fourth-seeded Chautauqua Lake (4-3).
Ellicottville (5-2), which got its No. 1 seed in Class DD through tie-breakers, will entertain fourth-seeded Panama (2-5) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. while second-seeded Sherman (6-1) plays host to third-seeded Clymer (6-1) on Saturday at a time to be announced.
In the Chuck Funke Memorial Classic Consolation Bowls, No. 12 Dunkirk will play at No. 9 Medina in Class B on Friday at 7 p.m.
In Class C, North No. 6 Gowanda will play at South No. 5 Southwestern on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and on Friday at 7 p.m., South No. 6 Falconer will play at North No. 5 Akron.
In Class DD, Nichols will play at fifth-seeded Franklinville on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m., No. 7 Forestville will play at No. 6 Pine Valley.
