IRVING - Myrtle M. Bossman Cornelius, 91, of TLC Lakeshore Healthcare in Irving, formerly of Cassadaga and Randolph, passed away Friday (Oct. 12, 2012) in the home.
She was born Nov. 18, 1920, in Dunkirk, N.Y. the daughter of the late Charles G. and Mary J. Westphal Bossman.
During her childhood she lived in Cassadaga and Randolph and on April 12, 1940, she married Donald G. Cornelius and on May 22, 1945, gave birth to their only child, Floyd Charles Cornelius. Myrtle was a faithful housewife and mother. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants in Randolph and was a child care provider for local families.

She is survived by her son, Floyd Charles Cornelius and his wife Marbeth Davis of Silver; two grandchildren: Jennifer Rhodes and husband Jason of Forestville, and Stacie Chapman and husband Brian of Union City, Pa.; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Catherine Bromley of Jamestown and Marian Berg of Randolph; and a brother, Valentine Charles Bossman of Randolph.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1994; a sister, Dorothy Pauley; and brothers: Frederic and Warren Bossman.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 18, 2012) in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, N.Y., from where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. The Rev.
