Harold Ranney

Harold Clark Ranney went to be with our Lord on Aug. 25, 2012, in Circle, Mont.

Harold was born on July 22, 1922, in Dunkirk, N.Y. He was raised on a dairy farm in Stockton, N.Y., with his three brothers, two sis-ters and a niece. He attend-ed the local schools and worked on the local dairy farms before enlisting in the Army in 1942 with his best friend, Neil Francis. He served in Germany and Korea as a cook and as head of the blood bank, ob-taining the rank of cor-poral. He was awarded the Army Occupational Medal (Germany) and the National Defense Medal for his ser-vice until 1950. After leav-ing the military, he settled with his family in Seattle, Wash.

He is survived by his children: Rose, Eugene, Linda (Johnson), Charles, Christina (Jensen); many grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews to include Mary Leonard.

He was preceded in death by his parents Sadie R. (Sheets) and Clark Ranney, his brothers Ralph, Leonard and Arthur, his sisters Irene (Carley) and Geneva (Cranston), his first wife, Martha (Woodard) and his second wife, Joan M. (Fay).

There will be a private burial. Please feel free to stop by his niece's home (7609 East Route 20, Lot 1) in Westfield, N.Y., on Sa-turday, Oct. 13, between 1 and 4 p.m. to celebrate Harold's life and meet his family.
