Dorothy L. Haley, 79, of 796 W. Washington St., passed away Monday, Oct, 8, 2012, at The Bradford Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Aug. 25, 1933, in Corry, she was a daughter of the late Ludwig and Avis Springer.
On Jan. 27, 1990, in Warner Robins, Ga., she married Earl H. Haley, who survives.
She was a 1952 graduate of Chautauqua High School, then graduated from the University at Buffalo with a degree in food service dietetics.
Dorothy had worked at the Chautauqua County Courthouse and was the secretary/clerk for the State of Georgia Department of Probation and Parole.
She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan, and enjoyed going to Bingo.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters: Linda Blakeslee Leverett of Flushing Mich., Debra Lynn Blakeslee-Grien, of Dallas, Texas, Tammy Haley of Bradford, and Nancy (Dennis) Kagey of Flushing, Mich.; two sons: Brian Blakeslee of Westfield, N.Y., and Mark (Tracy) Blakeslee of Portland, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and first husband, Dale M. Blakeslee, who died March 2, 1983.
Friends will be received on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. W. LeRoy Beckes, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating.
