Investigation Finds 23 Pounds Of Marijuana

Randolph Man Charged With Possession, Unlicensed Growing

RANDOLPH - A Randolph man has been taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail after Cattaraugus County Sheriff's deputies found 23 pounds of marijuana in his house.

James P. Leach, 60, of 10860 Hotchkiss Road, Randolph, was charged Saturday with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlicensed growing of cannabis at 5 p.m. Saturday after a joint investigation by deputies and the U.S. Forest Service revealed a drying room in the home with 23 pounds of marijuana. A search warrant had been issued.

Leach was taken to the county jail and will be in court later.
