On Sept. 1, the present-day members in the Sonya Club were excited and honored to welcome back original Sonya members B. and T. Knott who were in town temporarily on holiday.
President C. Heggarty presided over the festivities that had been planned last minute by activities Chairman D. Nelson. Traditional dress was worn and after bringing everyone up to date after many years, the highlight activity 5 Crown winners included B. Knott as well as the deserving host C. Strand.
K. Strand served up a smorgasbord of food and drink.
Future meetings will include out of state Trips to interview native Americans in Ohio and possibly Internationally to as yet unnamed countries.
J. Spencer, secretary and treasurer, collected dues and a committee was formed to investigate what penalties, if any, would have to be paid by members that have been delinquent for extended periods of time.
C . Heggarty was officially installed as club photographer.
The next meeting will be held in November at Twelve Oaks, the Spencers' palatial estate.
