Harmony Senior Citizens Hold Meeting

The Harmony Senior Citizens held their monthly meeting on Oct. 4 at Panama United Methodist Church. Chaplain Melvin Lord led the flag salute and offered the dinner blessing.

October birthdays were celebrated by: Doris Carr, Betty Sweeney, Evelyn Sweeney and oldest member present celebrating a birthday was Everett King.

Anniversaries were celebrated by Bob and Cora Delahoy, along with Melvin and Ellen Lord.

Christmas tree tags will be given out next month. Thank-you notes were read by Sandy Hoyt and Linda Whitely.

The Thanksgiving dinner will be held at Rowdy Rooster on Nov. 1. Reservations are to be made by Oct. 24 at $7 per person.

The annual Christmas dinner is planned at the Rowdy Rooster for noon on Dec. 6. Reservations will be taken until Nov. 26 at $7 per person.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Wendy Raynor reported as a two-year survivor from cancer. Members were reminded to turn on their pink lights.

Dotty Enlow gave a trip update for Rochester's Christmas Lights. This trip is planned for Nov. 27 with the bus leaving at noon from PUMC. Future meetings will begin at noon until April.
