To Ride Friday
On Friday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes from Dunham Siding on the Allegheny National Forest to Route 6 in Sheffield via the Hearts Content Road and Bull Hill Road. Participants will meet at Howe's True Value at 9 a.m. For more information call Pat Spicer at 814-757-8331 between 9 and 11 p.m. On Sunday the club will hike the Brush Hollow Trail on the Allegheny National Forest in Elk County. The trailhead is on Route 948, 10 miles north of Ridgway. Swiss Steak
Dinner To Be Held
Christ First United Methodist Church, corner of Lakeview Avenue and Buffalo Street, will host a swiss steak dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday in Darrah Hall. Home-baked pie will be served for dessert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children and are available from church members or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the church's student scholarship fund.
Library System Board To Meet
OLEAN - The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System board will meet Wednesday at the Old Library Events & Inn, 116 South Union St., Olean, at the end of the system's annual meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.

Pork Dinner
Set For Friday
WESTFIELD -The First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield, will hold a roast pork harvest dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $10 for adults; $5 for children age 10 and under. All dinners will include beverage and homemade dessert. Delivery will be available by calling the church office at 326-2643 before noon, the day of the dinner. Takeouts will also be available. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit building restoration and mission/outreach projects. For more information, contact the church office.
Ladies Auxiliary To Host Dinner
AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post 726, located at the ILS Veterans Club on Fluvanna Avenue, will host a chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds will benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Dinner will include chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy, vegetables and a piece of homemade pie. Tickets are $7 for adults, $4 for children between the ages of 4 and 8 and free for children under 4.
Jamestown To Host Convention
The second annual Jamestown Paranormal Convention will be held Saturday at the Jamestown Gateway Station on West Second Street. Admission is $6 or $5 for those who buy a dinner.
