Jamestown Community College (7-7-2, 4-5-2) and Finger Lakes CC (6-9-2, 6-8-1) played to a 1-1 tie in NJCAA Region 3 Division III men's soccer on Saturday.

After a scoreless first half, the host Jayhawks scored 3 minutes into second half when Connor Meekins hit the net on assists from Blake Barker and Blake Montgomery.

''It was a very nice play,'' JCC coach Pat Anderson said. ''We scored from about 18 yards out.''

Then 17 minutes into the half, Michael Cooper scored unassisted from 12 yards out for Finger Lakes.

JCC goaltender Ben Morgan made 11 saves and Lakers' goaltender Shane Bly had seven saves.

''We were little shorthanded,'' Anderson said. ''It turns out it's a relatively good tie for us.''
