Randolph Girls Roll To Div. 2 Win

RANDOLPH - Five different Randolph players found the net as the Lady Cardinals (6-5-2) rolled to a 5-1 victory over Cassadaga Valley (1-11) in Division 2 girls action.

Three minutes into the game, Sabrina Jackson scored for Randolph as Taylor Zachar assisted and four minutes later, Hannah Milbrant made it 2-0 with Taryn Dechow getting the assist.

At the 20-minute mark, Zachar knocked in a goal for Randolph with the assist by Jackson and four minutes later, Dechow scored to make it 4-0 with Elizabeth Roosa assisting.

The Lady Cougars got on the board with five minutes gone in the second half when Kelcie Brown scored on a penalty kick but Randolph's Mikayla Brooks scored another goal as Dechow assisted to put things out of reach.

Tiffini Keys made three saves in earning the victory for Randolph.

MG BLANKS FREWSBURG

FREWSBURG - Maple Grove's season-long winning streak remained intact on Friday as the Lady Red Dragons (11-0, 13-0) helped goalie Lauren Nickerson to her 42nd career shutout with a 2-0 win over Frewsburg.

Maple Grove's first goal came at the 25-minute mark as Katie Thorson scored with an assist by Paige Sirwatka.

Things remained the same until 25 minutes into the second half when Alex Novotny found the net as Allison Winchester assisted.

Nickerson had nine saves for the victory while for Frewsburg, Reyanne Strong made 10 saves.
