KIANTONE - An 85-year-old man was taken to WCA Hospital on Friday when the car he was riding in was involved in a collision.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say Gladys Peterson, 85, of 101 Allendale Ave., Jamestown, was traveling eastbound on Peck Settlement Road when she went through a red light at the intersection with Route 60. Bryan M. Smith, 27, of 21835 Route 6, Warren, Pa., was traveling north on Route 60 and was hit by Peterson's vehicle in the intersection.

Bill Michalski, a passenger in Peterson's car, and Heather Cathcart, a passenger in Smith's car, were both taken to WCA Hospital with minor injuries. Neither driver was injured.

Charges are pending further investigation.
