Mueller To Join Senior Report

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have Rudy Mueller as the guest during the Saturday program. Dr. Mueller is a past Chautauqua County legislator and candidate for state Assembly. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Reed Powers, host of Senior Report, has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.

Rummage Sale Begins Today

The St. Nicholas Orthodox Church Ladies Erene Society will hold its fall rummage and bake sale today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and a bag day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Donations Now Being Accepted

The Community Outreach Center at First Lutheran Church, corner of Chandler and Center streets, Jamestown, is accepting donations of small household items and clothing in good condition. Items may be dropped off during regular center hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Porcelain Artists To Host Program

The Chautauqua County Porcelain Artists will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ First United Methodist Church, corner of Lakeview and Buffalo streets. Elaine Caflisch, porcelain artist and teacher, will present a program on painting panda bears. Members attending this two step project should take a flat piece to paint on, paints and a stiff brush for applying the fur. They should also take a sandwich. Dessert will be furnished by Sue Ludwick and Sylvia Johnson. Local porcelain artists are welcome to attend.

Clymer School Board To Meet

CLYMER - The Clymer Central School Board of Education will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the high school library. The public is welcome to attend.

Cancer Support Group To Meet

The Breast Cancer Support Group of Jamestown will meet Wednesday at Friendly's. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. with the meeting at 7 p.m. The speaker for the evening will be Carolyn Murray, lymphedema therapist and a garment fitter in Whisper's Boutique at Patient's Pharmacy Inc. The meeting is open to all breast cancer patients and their caregiver. October is the month to "Turn on the PINK to black out breast cancer." Pink light bulbs are still available by calling Pat Carr at 665-4343. The pink bulbs are used in memory or honor of a loved one who has had breast cancer.
