Falconer Man, 48, Charged With Criminal Sexual Acts Against Children

Douglas E. Nelson, 48, of Falconer and Greenhurst, was charged with second-degree criminal sexual act, endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana on Sept. 25.

According to police, Nelson allegedly had inappropriate relationships with children in the Chautauqua County and surrounding areas. The investigation into the case is continuing in an attempt to identify any other possible children who may have been in contact with Nelson. At this time, Nelson has been arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 property bail.

New York State Police are encouraging parents and guardians to discuss this matter with their children in an effort to assist and identifying any other possible witnesses or victims.
