Jayhawks Claim 13th Straight Win

Upend Erie CC In Close Match

Jamestown Community College won its final home match of the regular season at the Physical Education Complex when it edged Erie CC, 25-16, 23-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12, in NJCAA Region 3 Division III volleyball on Thursday.

The victory was the 13th in a row for the Jayhawks, and gives them a 21-5 overall record and a 16-1 mark - good for second behind Niagara County CC - in Region 3 play.

"We've been playing awesome," JCC coach Ashley Lund said. "Tonight we made the plays, made the adjustments and won a hard-fought match."

Hannah Rauh had 37 assists, 11 kills, 18 digs and three aces in the win. Brittany Brace delivered 15 kills, eight digs and three blocks; Kelsey Kyser 13 kills, 13 digs and three aces; Aricca Lis 12 kills, 15 digs and three aces and Anna Nietupski chipped in with 10 kills, 31 digs and two blocks.

The Jayhawks will be right back on the court for the Onondaga CC Tournament with two games today and two on Saturday.
