Chautauqua Shores Chorus Welcomes New Members

October 5, 2012
The Post-Journal

The Chautauqua Shores Chorus recently celebrated the induction of two new members to their chorus. Pictured, from left, are Sandra Tellman from Warren, Pa., and Elaine Crossley from Frewsburg. A cake honoring their membership was presented to them at the chorus' annual picnic. The picnic was held at the home of Judy Steffey of Russell, Pa. The Chautauqua Shores is a barbershop chorus made up of women from Warren and Chautauqua counties. The women sing four-part harmony, a cappella style. The women practice every Monday night at 7 p.m. at The First Baptist Church, 358 E. Fifth St. in Jamestown. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome to come to a practice. Although the holiday season is still months away, the chorus has started practicing on their Christmas repertoire. Those who would like to hire the Chautauqua Shores to sing for their holiday events can call to reserve a performance. To book a presentation from the chorus, whether it be for Christmas or any other occasion, call Claudia at 962-8411.
