Youngberg, Pope Help Forestville Down MG

FORESTVILLE - Sydney Youngberg had 14 kills and three aces, Cherish Pope six kills, three digs and two aces and Ryanne Dugan 25 assists and an ace as Forestville (5-2, 8-2) prevailed over Maple Grove (3-4, 3-9), 25-5, 25-12, 25-18 in Division 3 girls volleyball.

Alisha Szumigala delivered three kills, two blocks and two aces and Baylee Gloss added seven digs and three aces for the Lady Hornets.

Nickara Liddell had 12 kills, two blocks and 10 digs; Taylor Satalino two kills, 24 digs and an ace; and Sierra Speranza added five assists, five digs while Jessie Babbage added two aces and 16 digs for Maple Grove.

Forestville won the junior varsity match.

PINE VALLY RALLIES

WESTFIELD - Westfield won the first game, but Pine Valley (3-4, 4-6) battled back to take the final three as the Lady Panthers prevailed, 17-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-17.

Kayla Mansfield had six kills, three aces and six assists for the winners while Alex Bentham added 10 kills and seven aces and Ahleen Pollock had six assists and three aces.

For the Lady Wolverines (0-7, 1-9), Hillary Nelson had three kills, three blocks and nine aces, Jen LaPort produced two kills, two bocks, three assists and two aces and Mackenzie DeLand had seven aces.

Pine Valley was the winner of the junior varsity match.
