MAYVILLE - Lucas P. Hull, 28, formerly of Erie, Pa., was sentenced Monday to one to three years in state prison for second-degree escape.

Hull was at the Chautauqua County Landfill on a supervised work detail in August 2008 when he walked out of the view of a supervising corrections officer during a break. Hull walked around a large pile of tires, got into and stole a county-owned Department of Public Works vehicle. Hull was eventually found about a week later at an uncle's house in Neola, W.Va., in the southeastern part of the state near the Virginia border.

David W. Foley, Chautauqua County district attorney, also announced the following sentences in Chautauqua County Court in front of the Hon. John T. Ward, Chautauqua County Court judge:

Shawn M. Hallmark, 29, of 3427 Straight Road, Fredonia, was sentenced to 3 to seven years in state prison for second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument concurrent with two years in prison and one year post-release supervision for fifth-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Terry L. Kendall, Jr., 22, of 129 Fairview Ave., Apt. 2, Jamestown, was sentenced to two to six years in state prison for third-degree burglary.

Stanley Kopczynski Jr., 23, of 2800 Route 39, Forestville, was sentenced to time served (21 days) and five years probation for third-degree burglary.
