Gerry Town Hall Meeting Is Set
GERRY - The Gerry Republican Committee will host a town hall meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gerry Fire Hall. Those invited include U.S. Rep. Tom Reed; state Sen. Cathy Young; state Assemblyman Andrew Goodell; County Executive Greg Edwards; John Ward, Chautauqua County Court judge; legislator Larry Barmore, R-Gerry; and other legislators and Gerry officials. There will be a brief statement from each official followed by a question-and-answer period. Refreshments will be served.
Chicken Barbecue Set For Saturday
The Kiwanis Club of Falconer is having a chicken barbecue from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Falconer Moose Lodge. Tickets are $8. Dinners will be available at the door while supplies last. The proceeds will go to Kiwanis Service Leadership programs at Falconer Central School. Programs include Key Club, Builders Club and Key Leader. Westfield To Honor Veterans
WESTFIELD - The Westfield Teachers' Association will host an evening of celebration in honor of Sgt. Kevin White and other Westfield Academy Central School graduates who have served the country Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The Sgt. Kevin White Veterans' Wall of Honor will be dedicated at that time. The WACS band and chorus will provide music. Good Samaritan Program Is Oct. 11
Martin Road Christian Fellowship will host a six-week, Bible-based video financial course called the Good Samaritan Program featuring speakers: Pastor Mark Peterson, Jurgen Matthesius and Pastor Miles McPherson from the Rock Church. The course will begin at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Martin Road Christian Fellowship fellowship hall. There is no cost and the public is invited.
Blood Bank To Hold Drive Oct. 11
Community Blood Bank will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the BPU Education Room, 92 Steele St., Jamestown. Lunch will be provided to blood donors. Donors may access the BPU Bloodmobile by entering the "D" driveway at 92 Steele St. to the BPU parking lot. Facing the building from the parking lot, one should enter the Visitor Entrance, the right door under the green awning beside the BPU Customer Service, sign in and take the elevator to the first floor. Donors must be at least 17 years old, in good health and will need a form of identification such as a blood donor card or driver's license. Walk-ins are welcome.
