Church To Hold Harvest Dinner
WESTFIELD - The First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., Westfield, will hold a chicken and biscuit harvest dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The cost is $10 for adults; $5, children ages 10 and under. All dinners include beverage and homemade dessert. Takeouts or delivery will be available. For takeout or more information, call the church office at 326-2643 before noon on Friday. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit building restoration and mission/outreach projects.
Ellery Seniors To Meet Oct. 12
Ellery Senior Citizens will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 in St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. Entertainment will be provided by a band from Tanglewood Manor. Helen Ingerson, Jan Anderson, Ola Olson and Jean Brooker will be the committee. Twenty-five seniors and one guest attended a recent meeting. Gene and Lois Norris and Mary Ann Reiber Davis were the committee. Gene Norris led table grace; Peter Carlo, the flag salute; and Betty Chaney, devotions. Kathy Burch, of the Red Cross, spoke on disaster teams and their work during housefires, floods and snow storm emergencies. Barbara Breed and Ms. Olson celebrated their birthdays.
