JAMESTOWN POLICE
Stephen J. Abbey, 35, of Jamestown was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation at 3:20 a.m. Monday. According to police, when officers were dispatched for a possible domestic incident, they spoke with a woman who said Abbey had harassed the woman and grabbed her by the throat. He fled the area before officers arrived but was later found and charged. He is awaiting arraignment in the Jamestown City Jail.
ELLICOTT POLICE
Nichole Verrett, 25, of Jamestown, was charged with petit larceny at 5:24 p.m. Friday. According to police, officers were dispatched to K-Mart for a report of a shoplifter. Employees had witnessed Verrett putting multiple pieces of clothing into her purse and leaving, but were able to detain Verrett until police arrived. Verrett was charged with stealing $168.86 worth of clothing. She was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail with bail set at $3,000 cash or $6,000 property and will be in court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
LAKEWOOD - A 17-year-old male was charged with petit larceny at 10:20 a.m. Monday. According to police, he was charged after stealing $14.88 worth of merchandise from FYE at the Chautauqua Mall. He will be in court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA - Michael F. Mooney, 58, of North Collins was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating out of an ignition interlock restriction, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and parking on a highway at 2:40 a.m. Sunday. He was arraigned and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
RIPLEY - Two 17-year-old males who had warrants out for their arrest were picked up at 7 p.m. Saturday. They were arraigned, released and will be in court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
CHARLOTTE - A 17-year-old male was charged with second-degree harassment at 8 p.m. on Sept. 14. He will be in court later.
POMFRET - Kurt A. Raths, 54, of Dunkirk, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 5 a.m. Monday. He will be in court later.
COLLINS - Randy L. Hilliker, 34, of Collins, was charged with trespassing at 6:35 p.m. Saturday. He will be in court later.
