Clymer Board

To Meet Monday

CLYMER - The Clymer Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting Monday in the high school library at 4:30 p.m.

Historical Society Plans For Festival

The Harmony Historical Society discussed the Fall Festival which will be Oct. 6-7 during its recent meeting. On Saturday, Oct. 6, the Bonnie Loch Fiddlers will perform at 1 p.m. followed by the Italian Dancers at 2:30 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 7, Ron Lemon and his group from Frewsburg will be gospel entertainment at 1:30 p.m.

Library System Board To Meet

RANDOLPH - The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System board of trustees will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Randolph Library, 26 Jamestown St., Randolph. The public is welcome to attend.

Panama Moves Village Offices

PANAMA - The village of Panama has moved into new village offices behind the Rowdy Rooster at 1 E. Main St. Panama. Village meetings will be held at the new location effective immediately and will continue to be the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m.

Turkey Party

Set For Saturday

SUGAR GROVE, Pa. - Sugar Grove AMVETS Post 50 will host a Turkey Party on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. The party will include turkeys, hams, steaks and ribs. The public is invited.

Thrift Store Holds Closing Sale

The Victory Tabernacle Thrift Store, 205 Cherry St., Jamestown, will close its doors in October. All items must go. A new shipment of winter coats are available for $5 each or as marked; extra large sizes; $2 for a 30 gallon bag or $1 for a regular bag.

RTPI To Host Yard Mapping Event

Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and Roger Tory Peterson Institute are co-sponsoring a Creating Habitat Colors of Chautauqua course on mapping your yard or property on Saturday, Oct. 6 at RTPI. Participants can learn to draw landscape plans, use YardMap to improve bird and wildlife habitat and how research information about their land. Registration is through the tourchautauqua.com website.

County Land Bank Meeting Set

The Chautauqua County Department of Planning and Economic Development is announcing the first official meeting of the Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation, to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. in the CCIDA board room, 200 Harrison St., Jamestown. This organizational meeting of the CCLBC is being conducted to discuss official business associated with CCLBC's by-laws, certificate of incorporation, acquisition and disposition policies, and other official business as required. Rummage Sale Set For Oct. 10-11

The Celoron United Methodist Church, 28 E. Livingston Ave., will hold a rummage and bake sale on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 3-7 p.m., and Thursday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
