Kathryn M. “Tootie” Baker

Kathryn M. "Tootie" Baker, 73, of Donelson Rd., Jamestown, passed away Friday (Sept. 28, 2012) in her home.

A lifelong area resident she was born Jan. 19, 1939, in the town of Ellery, the daughter of the late Walter A. Baker and Dorothy Seekings Baker Brooks.

She was a member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the church choir. Kathryn has also at-tended Cable Hollow Com-munity Church. She was a fan of Elvis Presley and en-joyed listening to his music. Kathryn also en-joyed bowling, attending church and babysitting. She will be remembered as a loving and caring aunt.

Surviving is her brother, Donald A. (Sherell) Baker of Jamestown; two stepsis-ters, Joann Villarell and Sue Erickson both of Jamestown; three nieces, Debbie Dean and Toya Baker both of Jamestown, and Carol LeRoy of Syra-cuse; two nephews, James Francis of Jamestown and Matthew Baker of Maine; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter A. Baker; her mother, Dorothy Baker Brooks; her stepfather, Frank Brooks; her sister, Allene Francis; her stepsister, Kathy Dietzel; and three nephews, Stanley, Ronald, Richard Francis.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Falcon-er Funeral Home. Rev. Cathy Smith, chaplain of Hospice of Chautauqua County, will officiate. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service Monday.

Memorials may be donated to Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
