Franklinville Edges Falconer

FRANKLINVILLE - With three minutes remaining in the opening half and his team trailing by six, Peter Kopp scored on a 7-yard touchdown run and then kicked the extra point to give Class DD Forestville a 7-6 victory over Falconer in Class C South football on Friday evening.

Falconer drove down to the Forestville 20 in the game's final minute, but had the drive stalled by the stout Panthers' (3-2) defense.

Kopp finished with 66 yards on 18 carries while on defense Trent Dingman and Jamie Greiner each made six tackles.

The Golden Falcons (1-4) got on the board on their first possession of the game when Cody Dustin found the endzone from the 3, but were unable to score again.

Quarterback Devon Cameron completed 12 of 21 passes for 171 yards and Brandon Muntz made seven tackles in the loss.
