Chautauqua Lake Still Unbeaten In Girls Volleyball

MAYVILLE - Jenna Einink put together 16 kills, four aces, eight digs and three blocks when Chautauqua Lake (6-0, 7-0) prevailed over Forestville (4-2, 7-2), in Division 3 girls volleyball Thursday evening.

Ashton Albanesius had 10 kills, two aces, three digs, Hannah Rauh eight kills, 11 digs, Tara Hunt 21 assists and Katie Meadows 15 assists for the winners.

Sydney Youngberg delivered six kills, two aces and a block, Cherish Pope five kills and an assist and Ryanne Dugan 15 assists for Forestville.

PANAMA SWEEPS

PANAMA - Cora Monroy connected for four assists, 10 kills and a block; Crystal Swanson seven kills and six points; Carly Abbate four kills and 20 assists and Allison Strickland two aces, 13 points and four digs as Panama (4-2, 5-3) beat Westfield, 25-9, 25-12, 25-21.

Andrea Cooke had three blocks, Hillary Nelson two kills and two blocks and Jen LaPorte two aces and three assists in the loss.

Panama (5-1, 7-2) captured the junior varsity match, 25-12, 25-20.

LIDDELL STARS

Nickara Liddell had 10 kills, eight digs and five aces when host Maple Grove (3-5, 3-7) claimed a 25-13, 24-26, 25-16 and 29-27 victory over Pine Valley.

Jessie Babbage recorded eight hits, three assists, nine digs and an ace; Taylor Whalen nine assists, nine digs and an ace; Taylor Satalino six kills, two assists, 30 digs and five aces; and Sierra Sperenza seven assists, 11 digs and an ace for the winning Lady Red Dragons.

For Pine Valley, Ahleen Pollock delivered four aces, two digs and 25 assists; Aleah Fancher five digs and two kills; Aaren Waterman six blocks and six kills; and Kayla Mansfield nine kills and 13 assists.

Pine Valley took the junior varsity match by scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-1.

DIVISION 4

CLYMER PREVAILS

CLYMER - Dani Reinwald delivered 11 points and 11 kills and Jo-Linda Rhodes added 18 assists, seven points and five digs as Clymer (5-2, 6-2) defeated arch-rival Sherman (4-3, 4-4), 25-23, 23-25, 28-26, 25-19.

Cassie Treacle had three kills, six points, Marissa Trisket a kill, 14 points and four digs and Miranda Marucci six kills and six points for the winners.

Elle Reed connected for 17 kills, three blocks and three aces; Danielle Reed 10 assists, two blocks and two digs; Julia Rater four kills and a block; Grace Mayer 12 assists, a kill and a dig and Katrina Christmas two kills and two digs for Sherman.

Sherman won the junior varsity match.

NON-LEAGUE

EAGLES SWEEP

CATTARAUGUS - Janae Hamilton had 13 kills and 12 digs, Marissa Hamilton 33 assists and Courtney Scanlan 18 kills as Ellicottville (8-0) swept Cattaraugus-Little Valley (7-1, 7-4), 25-19, 25-20, 25-15.

Maddie Szpaicher added nine kills and 15 digs for the Eagles.

Shelly Bach recorded 13 kills and seven blocks, Kaitlyn Nye 20 assists and six digs and Erin McGlew 10 digs in defeat.

The junior varsity match went to the hosts.

NEW-PENN CC

BETHEL BAPTIST WINS

Bethel Baptist Christian Academy posted a four-game victory over Bethel of Erie Christian Academy, 25-23, 25-12, 19-25, 25-14.

Christina Bailey delivered 15 serves, three spikes, 20 blocks, eight dinks and a dig while Hannah Boardman had five serves, 40 passes, 11 spikes, 11 blocks, two digs and a dink and Elizabeth Swanson 18 serves, 28 passes, four spikes, six blocks and five digs in the win.

Also for the winners, Laura Sard recorded 20 serves, 20 passes, 24 sets, 19 blocks and four dinks, Ariana Inman 12 serves, 22 passes, six spikes, 10 blocks and a dig and Laura Davis 13 serves, 22 passes, three sets, five spikes, four blocks and a dig.
