The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown will celebrate "Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids," a national annual family event highlighting the value of meaningful time between caring adults and children, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Jamestown is one of hundreds of Day for Kids events planned nationwide.
The Kiwanis Clubs will partner with the Boys & Girls Club to celebrate the community's youth with the fun fair. The Kiwanis Clubs have partnered with the Boys & Girls Club for several years; helping to sponsor the Fun Fair and providing volunteers to run games, help with face painting and serving food. Carnival-like games where children have the chance to win small prizes and candy will be set up at the club. The event is free to all children and their families and will serve as a kick-off for the club's fall programming.

Sports program information will be available and parents will have the opportunity to sign their children up for fall and winter leagues. Scholarship forms are available at the front desk.
Soccer for students in kindergarten through fourth grades will begin Oct. 16 and swim lessons for all levels have just begun. Afterschool programs are offered for those in kindergarten through eighth grades and also a separate high school program.
Located at 62 Allen St., the Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown provides program opportunities for more than 2,200 boys and girls each year. Youth between the ages of 5 and 18 interested in joining the club or learning more about other youth programs can contact the main office at 664-2902. Program information and registration will be available at the front desk. All Boys & Girls Club youth activities are paid for in part by the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County.
