CATTARAUGUS - Alex Novotny shined for Maple Grove on Monday as the soaring Lady Red Dragons continued their winning ways, remaining undefeated with a 4-0 shutout over host Cattaraugus-Little Valley (1-5, 2-6) in Division 2 girls soccer.

Paige Sirwatka got things rolling for Maple Grove (7-0, 9-0) in the 14th minute of the first half with a goal that found the net on a direct kick.

Novotny scored her first goal of the game at 23 minutes, assisted Katie Thorson, and that same combination added another goal just two minutes later for a 3-0 advantage.

In the second half, Emma Franczak scored a goal to complete the attack as Sirwatka assisted.

Lauren Nickerson had five saves in goal for Maple Grove to get the victory.

Megan Jones made seven saves for the Lady Timberwolves.
