September 25, 2012
The Post-Journal

CHAUTAUQUA - Hurlbut Community Church in Chautauqua Institution will feature special guests Ezekiel's Wheel at the premiere of its "Midweek Vespers" worship service on Wednesday. The monthly family music and arts worship event will begin with a 5:30 p.m. potluck dinner, with the service beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Ezekiel's Wheel is a group of veteran Western New York musicians who got together to perform at the Great Blue Heron Music Festival's Sunday morning Gospel hour. Featuring Bumpy Peterson, Amanda Barton, Stan Barton, and Bill Ward, the group represents a talented and multi-generational perspective on traditional Gospel music.

The Midweek Vespers is a music and arts-based worship service with a minimum of spoken word. It is presented one Wednesday a month in Hurlbut Church, Pratt at Scott avenues, Chautauqua. "Faith Weaver," a children's supervised Bible experience, is provided separately during the service.
