Ingjald Lodge 65 recently donated $250 to the Veterans Memorial Relocation Project Fund.
Ron Cotten, commission chairman, accepted the donation and thanked the Vikings for their support. Tim Miller, Vikings chief, said members counted the donation as an opportunity to honor all veterans for their service. He further said the Vikings deem it a privilege support such a project and hoped other fraternal and community groups will also support the memorial relocation project.
Bryan Nelson, head trustee, told lodge members the goal of donating half the cost of a Lucas 2 Compression Machine to the Maple Springs Fire Department has been met with a total donation of $7,793. The machine costs $15,000. Nelson thanked members who have contributed to the project through individual donations, bake sales and other fundraising projects. Vikings inner groups that participated included the Past Chiefs Club, House Committee, Boat Club, Temple Corp. and the Sportsmen.
