Striders To Begin PSAT Workshops
Chautauqua Striders is offering a preparation workshop for students taking the October PSAT exam. Sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning Thursday and continuing until Oct. 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The workshop will be held at Chautauqua Striders' main office, second floor of the Jamestown YMCA. Falconer School Open House Slated
FALCONER - Falconer Middle/High School will hold an open house Thursday. Teachers will be available to meet with parents of students in sixth through 12th grades from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Parents will also have the opportunity to visit the book fair, which will be in the seventh-grade project room in the middle school wing.
Benefit For Area Nurse Is Saturday
HARMONY - A pig roast dinner benefit for Kathleen McCarty-Dahlbeck will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Harmony Town Park, Blockville-Watts Flats Road. The benefit will assist in the cost of a liver transplant as the result of an infection received during her 32 years as a nurse. Featured will be a Chinese auction, giveaways and a 50/50 giveaway. Donations will also be accepted. Deposits directly to the benefit will be transferred into a tax-free account at the Southern Chautauqua Credit Union.
Salamanca School Board To Meet
SALAMANCA - The Salamanca City Central School District Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for a regular meeting in the large group instruction room. The public is invited to attend.
