BUFFALO - Jamestown Community College women's volleyball team made its NJCAA Region 3 Division III record 11-1and 16-5 overall by prevailing over Monroe CC, Finger Lakes CC and Alfred State College on Saturday afternoon in POD play at Erie CC.
The first victory was over previously-unbeaten Monroe CC and ended an 18-game winning streak by scores of 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18.
Arricca Lis had 15 kills, 12 digs, two blocks for JCC while Christina Rauh had an ace, 31 assists, 12 kills, 18 digs and a block. Anna Nietupski added12 kills and 12 digs, and Kelsey Kyser had eight kills, nine digs and four blocks.
''That was a big win for us,''said JCC coach Ashley Lund about the victory over Monroe.
Next came JCC beating Finger Lakes, 25-18, 20-25, 25-17, 25-12, as Rauh scored 10 aces, 22 assists, eight kills, 13 digs and a block.
Brace had an ace, 13 kills, four digs and two blocks; Lis recorded two aces, 10 kills and seven digs, and Nietupski had an ace, four kills and 10 digs.
Finally, JCC took five games before beating Alfred State, 25-20, 25-15, 22-25, 18-25, 15-6.
Rauh delivered five aces, 33 assists, eight kills, six digs and block; Brace had an ace, seven kills, four digs and four blocks; Nietupski picked up three aces, nine kills and eight digs, and Lis had two aces, nine kills, 13 digs and a block.
