Prendergast Library Adds New Titles

The James Prendergast Library has added several new titles to its collection through Sept. 13. They include:

FICTION

"And When She Was Good" by Laura Lippman. Heloise is a soccer mom, lobbyist in the state capitol, and the woman of your dreams in a hotel room, but she keeps these aspects of her life separate. When her world starts crumbling, can she stay alive long enough to start over?

"Dog Stars" by Peter Heller. Hig survived the flu that killed everyone he knew and is now living in a hangar with his dog and a 1956 Cessna. One day Hig hears a transmission while flying that prompts him to go past his point of no return and seek out life beyond the hangar.

"Survivor" by Gregg Hurwitz. Nate Overbay, a former soldier suffering for PTSD, plans to jump from an eleventh-floor bank window. But when a heist begins to go down, Nate intervenes and becomes embroiled in a plot that could cost his ex-wife and daughter their lives.

NONFICTION

"History of the World According to Facebook" by Wylie Overstreet. This is a parody of world history presented in the format of Facebook updates.

"Read This." Are you interested in books beyond the current bestsellers? Then check out the lists in this book of titles that can be found in independent bookstores.

YOUNG ADULT FICTION
