CATTARAUGUS - Frewsburg engineered one of the finest comebacks in the coaching career of Terry Gray in Class D football on Friday night.
The Bears (3-1) were down by a 20-0 score in the second half when they rallied for 22 points in taking a 22-20 decision over Cattaraugus-Little Valley (0-4).
The winning drive started at the Frewsburg 30-yard line with 1:40 left and ended when Nick Fardink, on fourth down, dove over from the 1-yard line to tie it at 20-20.
Frewsburg went for the extra point kick, but a penalty was called on Cattaraugus for running into the kicker. The ball was move to the 1-yard line and from there Rob Stearns went in to cap the comeback.
The come-from-behind effort started when Cody Haller caught a 12-yard pass from Nick Munella and Munella hit Kevin Rodgers for two points to cut the deficit to 20-8 with 6:44 in the third quarter.
Munella got the Bears closer with a 14-yard touchdown run to slice the deficit to 20-14 with 6:51 left in the final quarter.
Cattaraugus-Little Valley scored in the first quarter when Sam Agnew passed 44 yards to Colt Agnew and added the conversion run.
On the final play of the first half, Sam Agnew raced 18 yards to paydirt for a 14-0 lead for the Timberwolves.
Matt Booth rambled 45 yards with 9:30 left in the third quarter to raise the score to 20-0.
Then, the comeback began.
Munella was 10 of 20 in the passing department for 200 yards and hit Haller five times for 149 yards in the win. He also ran for 50 yards in 14 carries.
Defensively, linebacker Nick Fardink had nine tackles and an interception. Another linebacker, Haller, also delivered nine stops and had a sack in the victory. End Austin Lynn had 12 tackles and a sack
For C-LV, Booth gained 73 yards in 12 carries and made 13 tackles and defensive tackle Cody Snow recorded five tackles.

RANDOLPH ROLLS
RANDOLPH - Jordan Dowiasz did all his damage in the first half for Randolph (2-2).
Dowiasz scored four touchdowns and rushed for 105 yards in just five attempts as the Cardinals tallied all their points in the first half for an easy 40-0 verdict over winless International Prep-Grover (0-4).
The Cardinals scored 27 points in the first quarter as Dowiasz recorded touchdowns runs from 5, 28 and 10 yards and added a 9-yard run in the second period.
Nate Beaver was on the receiving end of a 20-yard touchdown pass from Mitchell Maycock and Jared Pitchford rambled 59 yards to paydirt.
Pitchford contributed 89 in six carries and Micah Kehoe connected on four extra points.
The defense allowed only three first downs and didn't allow the visitors past the Randolph 35.
Cody Oldro made 11 tackles and four assists, Dylan Faust had five tackles and two assists, and Nick Hettenbaugh had six tackles and four assists.
