Lester and Wyonna Wevers celebrated their 62nd anniversary. Sharon Nutt thanked everyone for prayers, cards and phone calls while she had surgery.

President Rosalie Logue conducted the meeting. Bonnie Anderson installed the new officers: Rosalie Logue, president; Sally Hagg, vice president; Beverly Smith, secretary; Lester Wevers, treasurer; Melvin Lord, chaplain.

Recognition was given to Ellen Caffaro for her work as entertainment chairperson, to Dottie Enlow for her busy schedule as trip chairperson, to Wendy Raynor for her splendid work of sending out cards as cheer chairperson, and to Eloise Smith for having charge of birthdays and anniversaries.

A Thanksgiving dinner is planned for Nov. 1 at Rowdy Rooster, and a pizza party will be held in January.

The next meeting will be held Oct. 4. Attendees should bring a dish to pass and their own table service.
