Wet, cold and sloppy conditions made things challenging as Allegany-Limestone and Dunkirk visited Jamestown for a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association cross country meet at the Martin Road Complex on Tuesday afternoon, both Red Raiders' boys and girls teams were victorious at the end of the day.
In the boys division, Owen Barber for the Gators was the top runner with a time of 17:43.1, followed by Jamestown's Christian Edborg in second and his teammate, Michael Capestrani, in third.
As for the girls, Jamestown's Olivia Zabrodsky was the winner, posting a time of 19:53.9 while Alyssa Stroud of Allegany-Limestone was second and Jamestown's Jessica Hasse took third.

RED DRAGONS PERFECT
BEMUS POINT - Falconer, Gowanda, Silver Creek and host Maple Grove fought through windy and rainy conditions on a 5K course in CCAA cross country on Tuesday and Corey Wefing helped lift the Red Dragons to a perfect 15-point total in boys action.
Following Wefing were teammates Colin Green with a time of 18:24 and Josh Ahlstrom at 18:33.
Hope Pietrocarlo topped the individual scores in the girls division, posting a first-place time of 19:52. Teammates Megan Marsh were second (20:01) and Taylor Norris third (20:51) as the Maple Grove girls also recorded a perfect score.

PANNUS, REYDA PREVAIL
SHERMAN - John Pannus took top honors in the boys division as Olean (5-0) and Fredonia (2-3) visited Sherman (2-3) for a CCAA cross country meet on Tuesday.
Pannus was first for the Huskies with a time of 15:21 over a wet and rainy 2.7-mile course at WoodCrest Golf Course with Sherman's Ryan Carpenter finishing second at 15:45 and Fredonia's Josh Goodhue was third at 16:15.
Lauren Reyda from Fredonia (4-1) led the girls division with a time of 17:03, followed by Holly Eliason from Sherman (4-1) in second at 17:54 and Rebecca King took third at 18:06.

RAYMOND, HETRICK WIN
FRANKLINVILLE - Shawna Raymond led the undefeated Frewsburg (6-0) girls cross country team to victory against Randolph, Southwestern (2-4) and host Franklinville.
Raymond finished the 3.1-mile course in 22:20, 10 seconds better than Randolph's Erica Carnahan, to ensure a Bears victory with 25 points. Southwestern followed with 31 points.
In the boys race, Southwestern freshman Ryan Hetrick broke the 18-minute mark, finishing in 17:56, as the Trojans (5-1) placed first with 21 points, followed by Frewsburg (2-4) with 47, Randolph with 71 and Franklinville with 90.
