Panama Reunion RSVPs Due Monday
PANAMA - The Panama Central School Class of 1967 will hold its 45th reunion on Saturday, Oct. 6. Events include the school's homecoming football game at 1:30 p.m. against Ellicottville at Jack Keeney Community Field, behind the school, followed by a dinner at the Rowdy Rooster Restaurant on West Main Street, Panama, starting at 6 p.m. There will be a cash beer and wine cooler bar and a buffet costing $20 a person. Dickson Park Meeting Is Today
A neighborhood meeting of the Lillian Dickson Park project will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the park, on Falconer Street between Bowen and Sturges streets. Residents are welcome to attend to learn more about the efforts to improve the park and ways to become involved in fundraising and event planning. Representatives from community organizations and the city will be at the meeting. Busti Fire Dept. Auxiliary To Meet
BUSTI - The Busti Fire Department Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. today at the fire hall. All members are asked to attend. The group will discuss plans for the Busti Apple Festival, which is Sunday, Sept. 30.
Hollyloft To Make Presentation
Hollyloft Ski, Bike and Snowboard Shop will present a program for adults at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Prendergast Library. Those attending are asked to meet at the loading dock facing Fifth Street to hear about basic bicycle repair, safe riding and some new equipment in the bicycle world. In business since 1978, Hollyloft is active in the community and running a campaign to raise money for "New Leash on Life," an animal rescue group in Celoron. Bicycles dropped off at Hollyloft will be sold to benefit the cause and those who adopt a pet from New Leash will receive a gift coupon. Details are available at www.hollyloft.com. Upward Basketball Tryouts Continue
BUSTI - Southern Tier Upward Basketball and Cheerleading will hold its registration and evaluations on from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today and Thursday at the Busti Church of God gymnasium. The church is located at 996 Forest Ave Ext. in Busti. The basketball and cheerleading program is for boys and girls in first through sixth grades. The cost is $70.
