Nancy L. Carlson, 71, of 15 Benedict Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, in Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing.
A native of Jamestown, she was born Oct. 8, 1940, a daughter of the late G. Adolph and June Meli Carlson.
She was a 1958 graduate of Jamestown High School and later graduated from Jamestown Business Col-lege.

She had been employed by Art Metal Incorporated and later Dr. Joseph Baglia as a receptionist for 25 years. Prior to her retire-ment she worked for Hills Department Store as a clerk.
She was an active member of Camp Street United Methodist Church.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her life revolved around her grandchildren and their activities. She also enjoyed card playing and was a member of a bridge club.
Surviving are twin daughters: Debbie (Mike) Peterson of Jamestown, and Donna (Mike) Christy of Ashville; seven grandchil-dren: Joshua, Jacob, Julia and Daniel Peterson and Michael, Emilee and Elizabeth Christy; a sister Karen (Renald) LaMar of James-town; and nieces and nephews: Susan Johnson, Linda Shultz, Donald John-son Jr, David LaMar, Carole Garrison and Steven LaMar; and four great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Polly Johnson.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Camp Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kevin Costner will officiate.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.
