Ray M. Wolfe, 80, of Monaca (Beaver Co, Pa.), formerly of Jamestown, N.Y. and Barnes, Pa., passed away early Friday morning, Sept. 14, 2012, at Rochester Manor (Rochester, Pa.)
Ray was born on July 22, 1932, in Barnes, (Warren Co.), Pa., a son of the late Harrison and Prudence (Harley) Wolfe. Ray was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1952 following his military service during the Korean Conflict.
He was a retiree of SKF TRW Corp. in Jamestown, N.Y., where he was employed as a lathe operator. He held a life membership at the Randolph, N.Y., V.F.W., which was recently transferred to the Monaca V.F.W. In his leisure, Ray enjoyed traveling and watching television.

He leaves his wife, Beryl C. 'Kitty' Wolfe, with whom he would have celebrated 38 years of marriage in February 2013; nine children: Debbie (John) Bailey, James (Sue) Evans, Sharon Wolfe, Shannon Wolfe, Doris Greer, Catherine J. (Bill) Montgomery, George Evans, Barbara (Roland) Williams, and Janice Evans; 35 grandchildren, two of whom the couple raised; 46 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a niece, Mary Dawn (Bob) Tudor.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by two sons: Danny Ray Wolfe in 1954 and Mark Wolfe in 2005; a stepson, John Keith Evans; a sister, Mary Catherine Pittock; and a nephew, Gary Pittock.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, Pa. from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. His son in law, the Rev. William Montgomery will officiate.
Full military honors will be provided by the Beaver County Special Unit at the funeral home at 4:45 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Barnes.
