Beverly A. Prince, 74, of the Lutheran Home & Rehab Center, formerly of Kirk Road, Randolph, passed away Saturday (September 15, 2012) in the center.
She was born May 19, 1938, in Poland Center, N.Y., the daughter of the late Lloyd D. and Martha P. Howard Delahoy.
Bev was a homemaker and helped her husband in the barn on the Beaver Dairy Farm in Randolph, where they worked and lived for many years.

She was a loving wife, mother and grand mother. Bev loved working outside and took great pride in her huge garden. She also enjoyed crocheting and making many blankets for her loved ones over the years. She also made the best peanut butter cookies that were her husband Merle's favorite as well as her macaroni salad. She babysat for many of the neighborhood kids and especially loved doing it for her grandchildren and often would call her children to say the weather was bad, so please just let the kids stay the night. She will be loved and missed by many.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Merle O. Prince, whom she married on November 1, 1956, in Levant, N.Y., a son, Dale Prince of Sinclairville, two daughters: Susan Buck and her husband Gary of Key West, Fla., and Gail Williams of Rocky Mount, N.C., five grandchildren: Brittany Mosier, Lakin Gajewski, Landon Williams, Lane Williams and Alisha Prince, two brothers: Richard Delahoy of Jamestown and Ronald Delahoy of Oklahoma, and a sister, Gladys Zellers of Myerstown, Pa.
She was preceded by an infant son, Merle Prince Jr. and two sisters: Isabelle Jacobs and Alice Stead.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (September 21, 2012) in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Funeral Home. The Rev. Rodney Mileham, pastor of the East Randolph United Methodist Church, will officiate.
