2013 GRROWLS?Calendars Available

Cody Irwin, a 6-year-old golden retriever, appears as Mr. July in the 2013 calendar published by Golden Retriever Rescue Operated with Love Statewide (GRROWLS).

Maggie Irwin, Cody's owner and a GRROWLS foster home volunteer and applications coordinator, said she is excited Cody has been chosen as one of the featured dogs.

"Cody is a wonderful dog," she said. "And, he is a working pet therapy dog."

Cody, a 6-year-old golden retriever owned by Maggie Irwin of Jamestown, will be featured as Mr. July in the GRROWLS calendar.

Cody was adopted from the GRROWLS organization and lives in Jamestown with Irwin and his two golden brothers, Jake and Jackson.

The 2013 GRROWLS calendars are $10 each and are available at the following locations: the Pet Animal Hospital, 9 Glidden Ave., West Ellicott; Moonbrook Veterinary Hospital, North Main Street Extension, Jamestown; Groomingdales, 120 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood; Dog Mom's, 1432 Kiantone Road, Jamestown; and the Blue Fin, 17 W. Main St., Falconer. The calendars can also be purchased online at www.grrowls.org.

GRROWLS is a statewide golden retriever rescue dedicated to finding new homes for golden retrievers or golden mixes that have been abandoned, lost, mistreated, or given up by families who can no longer care for their dogs.
