NIAGARA FALLS -Brothers Nolan and Patrick Swanson qualified at the Sectionals for a spot in the New York State Mid-Amateur Golf Championship on Friday.
Nolan Swanson of Pinehurst Golf Course shot a 75 to tie for second among qualifiers. Chris Covelli of Crag Burn was the medalist with a 68.
Patrick Swanson, also from Pinehurst, tied for 14th with a 79.
The Swansons advance to the Mid-Amateur Championship at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, near Rochester, on Sept. 28-30.
