Jonathan James Wicklund, 64, of 122 Springdale Ave., Jamestown, passed away at 2:10 a.m. Thurs-day, Sept. 13, 2012, in his home.
An area resident for most of his life, he was born March 10, 1948, a son of Philip Wicklund and the late Sylvia A. Norquist Wicklund.
He attended Bemus Point Schools and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1966.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War from Jan. 15, 1969, to Aug. 19, 1970. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves until 1975.
Before his retirement in 2000, he was a road maintenance supervisor for the Chautauqua County highway department, where he worked for 20 years.
He will be remembered as a loving and caring husband and father who loved to spend time fishing, boating and playing his guitar.
Surviving are his father of Greenhurst, N.Y.; his wife, the former Sandra Waite, whom he married Feb, 23, 1973; his children: Eric (Gina) Wicklund of Falconer, N.Y., Kristen Wicklund and Justin Wicklund, both of Jamestown; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wesley and Gloria Waite of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, who died April 20, 1983; and a brother, Larry Wicklund, who died April 18, 1984.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visitation will not be observed.
