RANDOLPH - Connor McAllister picked a good time to record his first goal of the season for surging Randolph on Thursday afternoon.
McAllister converted a pass from Zach Jackson with only 50 seconds left that enabled Randolph (2-0, 5-1) to win its fifth straight decision by a 4-3 edge over Portville (0-2, 0-4) in Division 2 boys soccer.
The decisive score came during the Cardinals' four-goal second half as they trailed by a 2-0 count at halftime on goals by Cody Miller from Max Carr and Cody North unassisted.
Jackson started off the comeback by connecting on his fifth goal of the season at four minutes of the second half.
Nate Born got his fifth from Jacob Turner at nine minutes followed by Jackson Andrews with his first from Born at 12 minutes to put the Cardinals in front, 3-2.
Portville got the equalizer from Zach Blask on an assist from Joe Peace at 15 minutes to set the stage for McAllister's winning tally.
Nick Carpenter made only two saves for Randolph while Josh Watson was busier with 10 saves in the loss.
SALAMANCA ROLLS
SALAMANCA - Salamanca (3-0, 1-0) defeated Cassadaga Valley, 7-0.
Tate Reynolds had two goals for the Warriors and scoring one each were Austin Minner, Dylan Hackett, Mike Morris, Evan Harrington and Sal Seitz.
MacKenzie Tucker had three saves for his shutout.
Tim Bender had nine saves for Cassadaga Valley.
A-L STOPS SILVER CREEK
SILVER CREEK - Sean Rubin, Ben Wallace and Robbie Higby scored goals as Allegany-Limestone (1-1) trimmed Silver Creek (0-1, 1-2), 3-1.
Allegany-Limestone held a 2-1 lead at the halftime on goals by Rubin at 10 minutes and Ben Wallace at 25 minutes.
Evan Ward scored for Silver Creek on a penalty shot in the first half at 15 minutes.
Higby found the range for the lone goal in the second half at 15 minutes.
Dom Conroy made six saves for A-L and Phil Hanson had 12 for Silver Creek.
