Free Bluegrass Music Tonight

CELORON - There will be free bluegrass music at the Celoron American Legion starting at 7 p.m. tonight. All bluegrass musicians are welcome to take a turn at the microphone.

Annual Car Show This Saturday

BUSTI - The Busti Fire Department and the Southern Tier Classic Chevy Club's third annual antique tractor pull and car show will be Saturday at the Busti Fireman's Grounds, formerly known as the Gala Days Grounds. The tractor pull starts at 11 a.m. with the car show opening at 10 a.m. Trophies for the car show will be awarded at 3:48 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 vehicles. Registration is $7. Cars, trucks, motorcycle and special interest vehicles are welcome. For more information on the car show, call 763-8659 or 763-6963. New will be a flea market, craft show and a silent auction. There will also be Schuyler's chicken.

Southwestern To Meet Today

The Southwestern Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. today in the board room, located in the middle school. The meeting's agenda includes a consideration for an executive session.

Thule Lodge To Meet Saturday

BEMUS POINT - The Thule Lodge, 4123 Pancake Hill Road, will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday. Ralph Veights, lodge chairman, said the lodge will use its fall and winter schedule of meetings by gathering on the third Saturday of each month at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. All members are encouraged to attend. Plans for fall and winter events will be discussed.

Warren Area '66 Grads To Meet

The Warren Area High School of 1966 will hold a dinner get together at 5 p.m. Saturday in Ribs n' Bones, 6524 Jackson Run Road, North Warren. All class members, spouses and friends of the class are invited to attend. Senior Report To Talk Irish History

Senior Report with Reed Powers will have John Hamels and Bill Drellow as the guests on the Saturday television program. Hamels and Drellow will talk about Irish music and history. The pair of musicians tour the local area. The live, call-in program airs from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Individuals may call 753-5225 during that time with questions or comments. The program is rebroadcast each day at 2 and 8 p.m. for some communities. Reed Powers, host of Senior Report, has been producing the television program since 1995. The series highlights senior citizen club news for 15 minutes with the remainder of the hour-long program devoted to the featured guest. The guest is subject to change. Senior Report is shown live on Saturday mornings on Time Warner cable systems covering the following communities: Brocton, Cassadaga, Chautauqua, Fredonia, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, Stockton and Westfield on Channel 5. In Dunkirk, Forestville, Hanover, Irving and Silver Creek the program is on channel 19. The show originates at the Access Channel 5 studio in Mayville.
