Pine Valley Nets Win Vs. MG

SOUTH DAYTON - Pine Valley evened its record at 1-1 after downing Maple Grove, 3-2, in Division 3 volleyball on Tuesday.

The Lady Panthers were down early, losing 25-17 and 25-16, but bounced back in the next three games, 25-14, 25-22 and 25-21.

Kayla Mansfield led with five kills, 17 assists and six aces for Pine Valley while Aleah Fancher had four kills, Erin Waterman added four blocks, Alex Bentham had four aces, Kayce Abers made three blocks and Ahlgen Pollock had 28 assists

For the Lady Red Dragons (0-2, 0-4), Nickara Liddell had 16 kills, 11 digs and two aces, Jessie Savage produced three kills, 15 digs and six aces, Sierra Steranza had 15 assists, five digs and two aces and Taylor Satalino had 33 digs.

Pine Valley also won the junior varsity match.

CLCS PREVAILS

FORESTVILLE - Chautauqua Lake improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 following its 25-22, 15-25, 25-18, 25-23 victory over Forestville.

Jenna Einink led the Lady Thunderbirds with 24 kills and five blocks. Hannah Rauh chipped in with 11 kills and 15 digs, Tara Hunt had 21 assists and three digs, Katie Meadows 19 assists, Sydney Milliman four kills and 10 digs and Heather Sampson three aces.

For Forestville (2-1, 0-1), Sydney Youngberg had 14 kills and four aces, Ryanne Dugan 30 assists and six digs, Emily Gilman seven kills and five digs, Cherish Pope five kills and three digs and Alisha Szumigala five kills and five blocks.

PANAMA UPENDS WESTFIELD

WESTFIELD - Panama earned its first division win of the young season as the Lady Panthers downed host Westfield (0-1, 0-2), 25-16, 25-13 and 25-18.

For Panama (1-0, 2-0), Carly Abbate booked 12 assists and three aces, Cora Monroy had five aces, five kills and five blocks and Crystal Swanson contributed seven kills and one block.

Hillary Nelson had four kills and two blocks while Madison Mathews added two kills, two blocks and three aces for the Lady Wolverines.

Panama also won the jayvee match in three games.

DIVISION 4

CLYMER WINS

CLYMER - Clymer played host to West Valley and the Lady Pirates pulled out a 25-12, 25-19, 25-19 victory.

For the winners, Miranda Marucci had 15 service points, Jo-Linda Rhodes contributed eight points, six assists and two aces, Dani Reinwald added six points, five kills, two blocks and six digs, Daniella Wade had seven points and a kill and Marissa Trisket scored five points.

For West Valley, Stephanie Schweickert had 11 service points and five aces.

Clymer also won the jayvee match, 14-25, 25-4 and 25-20.
