FREWSBURG - It took many years to accomplish, but Salamanca finally broke through against Frewsburg on Tuesday, winning its first league meet convincingly over the Bears, 109-76, in Division 2 girls swimming.
The victory also marked the first home loss for Frewsburg coach Bruce Johnson in 21 years and the first league defeat in 25 years.
The Lady Warriors had three double winners, including Kayla Jackson in the 200 meter individual medley (3:07.06) and the 400 freestyle (5:38.60), Lindsay Forthman in diving (184.12 points) and the 100 butterfly (1:27) and Jessica Fish in the 100 freestyle (1:09.32) and the 50 freestyle (30.31).

TURCOTTE SHINES
FRANKLINVILLE - Anna Turcotte was a double winner and Panama won six of 12 events on the way to defeating Franklinville, 65-37.
Turcotte won the 200 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke for the victors.
For Franklinville, Whitney Farrand hit the wall first in both the 200 individual medley and the 100 backstroke while Johanna Farrand was first in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly.
