Outdoor Club To Ride Bikes Friday
CLYMER - On Friday, the Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride bikes in the Clymer area. Participants will meet at the Dutch Village Restaurant on Main Street in Clymer for breakfast at 9 a.m. From there, they will ride to the French Creek Store, then continue on to circle Findley Lake and return to Clymer. FALCONER - The municipal offices for the village of Falconer will be closed on Friday.
Rodeo Seniors To Meet Friday
GERRY - The Rodeo City Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday in the Gerry United Methodist Church for a luncheon and a program. Those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to pass and their own table settings. The program for the day will be speaker Jeff Bellinger on a trip to Haiti. New members are welcome.
Piano Teachers To Meet Friday
The Association of Piano Teachers is presenting its annual salon at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Sheldon House in Jamestown. Participants include association members and guest performers, including Cody Miller, violin, and Ron McIntire, piano; Zachary Ricker, piano; Kitty Parker and Ruth Dodds, piano duet; Frances Lapinski, piano; Carrie Brunacini and Elise Cusimano, piano duet; Kim Bunce, flute, and Rosemary MacKown, piano; Ellie Thorsell, piano; Diane Barton, vocal; Sarah and Bob Leon, violin and piano. Sewer Districts Group To Meet
The South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts' Technical Committee will meet at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Water Pollution Control Facility, Celoron. The public is welcome to attend.
Thrift Shop Has New Ladies Items
St. Luke's Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St. between East Fourth and Fifth streets, Jamestown, this week announces there is a large amount of "new" ladies business apparel as well as all clothing for all - clean and displayed by size - and small household items and jewelry. The shop is in need of donations of size 3 - 6 toddler clothing. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Donated items are received 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays or any day the shop is open for business. There is off-street parking at the church parking lot just off of Fifth Street. This is a nonprofit enterprise with all proceeds going to local outreach. The shop is run by volunteers, many of whom are with RSVP.
Library To Host Teen Movie Night
FREWSBURG - The Myers Memorial Library will hold a teen movie night at 6 p.m. Saturday and show the movie "Abduction," starring Taylor Lautner. There is no charge to attend. Children ages 12 to 19 are invited to participate. Teen movie night is sponsored by the Frewsburg Pharmacy.
