Maple Grove visited Southwestern (2-1-1) on Monday night under the lights at Charles A. Lawson Field and both teams put on a defensive show in non-league boys soccer.
Neither team could gain an advantage through the first half and the game was scoreless until Riley Beaton scored the lone goal of the contest in the second half with 17:26 left to give the visiting Red Dragons (1-0, 3-0-1) a 1-0 win.
Netminder Kyle Richardson earned the win for Maple Grove with 12 saves.
