Poland Seniors Announce Meeting

The town of Poland Seniors will meet for a potluck lunch on Sept. 19 in the Kennedy Fire Hall. Seniors attending should take a dish to pass and their own table service. Committee members for the meeting are David and Dee Covey, Bob and Sally Canniff, Bonnie Piazza and Rose Marie Cornell. Payment for the Oct. 2 trip to see the Diva and the Italian Guy Cabaret Show is also due at this meeting. The cost is $70.

Eva Baker, president, called a recent lunch meeting, attended by 62 members, to order and led the flag salute and song, accompanied on piano by Lou Ball. Leona Smith, Doris Stone, Phyllis Frink, Donna Lee Shields and Helen Gifford were the committee. Bev Littlefield led grace, and tables were called by Shirley Covey. Reports given by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read. A fundraiser was also held.

Shirley Schauers, Frank Walker, Barb Wiltsie, Ms. Cornell, Doris Swanson, Neil Ormond, Liz Barnes, Dorothy Giambelluca, Ms. Stone, Ms. Covey and Gloria Covey celebrated birthdays. Anniversaries were observed by Ben and Sharon Morey, 46 years; Ray and Barb Wiltsie, 58 years; Lester and June Town, 69 years.

Ms. Canniff spoke on the Seneca Lake cruise and the Oct. 2 trip to the Diva and the Italian Guy Show. The bus will leave the Kennedy Fire Hall at 8:45 a.m. and return by 6 p.m.
