Falconer Rallies To Beat Panama

FALCONER - After trailing at half, 12-8, Falconer scored 16 unanswered points over the final two quarters of play to defeat non-league foe Panama, 24-12.

A 1-yard run by Dustin Smouse and a 21-yard scamper by Kelvin Eddy sandwiched Falconer's lone score in the opening half, a 13-yard run by Cody Dustin.

Dustin gave the Golden Falcons (1-1) their first lead of the game, 16-12, when he raced 20 yards across the goal line in the third quarter and then quarterback Devon Cameron scored on a 1-yard keeper in the fourth to reach the winning margin.

Dustin racked up 209 yards on 36 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns. Cameron completed 7-of-16 passes for 102 yards.

Defensively, Jake Youngberg made nine tackles, three of which went for a loss, and blocked an extra point attempt.

Robbie Benson led the Panthers (1-1) after gaining 78 yards on 10 carries.
